Hans Lehtinen was originally due to judge this breed and I was asked to step into the great man’s place following his untimely death. Such a super noble breed. I found movement not to be great up and back and a few soft coats. I do try and not give major awards to puppies in the slow maturing breeds, and it was not something I did lightly today.
Puppy D (2)
1ST RUBEUS HAGRID TO KILKBOURNE NAF (MR M J & MRS G M PEACH)
What an outstanding prospect he is. Super head with dark eye and excellent expression. Correct ears. Strong neck. Well laid shoulder. Obviously needs to develop and drop a little in body. Topline ok. Well made rear. Super mover, accurate with a light and easy stride. I thought he was something special, the best mover in the breed with great lightness of foot, and so full of quality. CC & BOB. And pleased to see him go G4 and PG1, and later BPIS. I suspect a star!
2. Cotherstone CODE BREAKER (MR M & MRS P ABBOTT)
Very raw and needs to come together. Has a very good head. Neck a little thin. Shoulder ok. Stands a little narrow in front and turns feet out. Well ribbed back and depth is ok for age. Good slope to croup.
